- Ashwani Verma is a writer and journalist of Hindi daily Jansatta. He writes on a wide range of subjects including painting, cinema, literature, language, music, theatre, architecture, archaeology, politics travel and media. Ashwani Verma joined journalism in 1988. Currently he is a correspondent of Jansatta, a newspaper of Indian Express Group . Ashwani Verma is a recipient of the prestigious YS Parmar award and karamveer upadhi of Sirmour Kala Parishad. He was also awarded by Chand Kulvi Award for Journalism of Sahitiya and Kala Parishad Kullu. He was senior vice president of Press Club of Shimla for two times. He is a president of Hindi Sahitiya Rachnakar Sangthan.
